1. Exchanges and Returns

What is your return policy?

We are a small webshop (not Zalando😅) and would like to ask you to order with awareness. Because of sustainability, but also because we really have a lot of extra work from a return.

Of course you can return something if it does not meet your expectations. That can happen of course.

You have the right to cancel your order up to 14 days after receipt without giving any reason. After cancellation, you have another 14 days to return your product.

You will then be credited the full amount including shipping costs of the returned item. Only the shipping costs for returning from your address to us are at your own expense.

If you use your right of withdrawal, the product must be returned to us with all accessories supplied and - if reasonably possible - in the original condition and packaging. Please pack it neatly as you received it. Do not 'crumple' it in a bag or box, then we will NOT take the items back:-)

Did you pay with Klarna?

If you paid with Klarna, do not open a dispute. We will then have to pay an additional 15 euros. You do not have to report anything to Klarna, we will arrange this with Klarna for you as soon as your return has been processed by us. You will then receive an adjusted invoice from Klarna.

Frank the package as a Parcel! Only jewelry may be sent by letterbox post.

Items from the sale can be returned but you will receive a store credit! So no money back.

We may have made a mistake while packing, that can happen! Please mail us! We appreciate that we are approached kindly as Sisters. We are working at full capacity, but can also make mistakes❣️

How do you send your return correctly?

Step 1

If possible, pack the products in the original packaging (bubble bag or box). Fold the clothing very neatly as you received it. Do not just crumple it in the box or bag.

Step 2

Fill in the return form ( Download here ) completely and put it in your packaging. If you do not have a printer, you can also copy the form:-)

Returns without this form will not be processed!

Step 3

To use this right, first send an email with the items you want to return to retouren@the-twosisters.nl this concerns the registration, once you have sent the email you can send your return. We do not respond to this email, so it is purely as a registration for your return . If you want to know if your package has arrived with us, you can check the Track and Trace of that package:-)

Returns Policy

Only undamaged and of course unworn jewelry and clothing may be returned. If reasonably possible, add in the original packaging (bubble envelope or box) and provide sufficient postage including a completed return form. Returns that do not meet this requirement, that are damaged, soiled or altered may be refused.

We do not give any guarantee on discolouration of the clothing or damage to the silk skirts, kimonos, sets and dresses. The silk clothing is very fragile and we check it carefully before we send it to you (like everything:-)) We also do not give any guarantee on other external damage. We also do not give any guarantee on zippers.

The cotton Gypsy skirts have about 80 meters of stitching that is sewn by hand. Sometimes a stitch comes loose:-) we ask you to have it repaired by a local seamstress Sister. That way we work together on a more sustainable world!

The return conditions in a nutshell:

  • Return costs are at your own expense and any risks associated with shipping are also the responsibility of the customer.
  • Returns that do not have a completed return slip with name and order number noted will be kept for up to 1 month after the date of receipt. After this period, the return will be processed in our own administration and can no longer be claimed.
  • In case of an exchange, the return costs are also at your own expense, as is the shipping of your new item:-)
  • You send an email to info@the-twosisters.nl to register your return (we will not respond to this)

If your return does not meet the above conditions, we may refuse your return.

Refund

We will refund the invoice amount to you within 14 days after receipt of the goods. Both the costs and the risk of sending (for example if a shipment is lost at PostNL) are for your own account in the event of a return. So if you want to be sure that the package arrives with us, send your return by letterbox package or parcel.

Can I exchange a product?

Did you order something, but is the size just a little too big or too small and would you prefer a different color? That is of course possible. Then order the correct item again in the webshop and return the other item.

How long does it take to get my money back after a return?

Once we have received and inspected your return, we aim to process your refund within 5-10 business days. The amount will be refunded via the same payment method you used when placing your order. You will receive a confirmation email once the refund has been completed. Please note that it can sometimes take a few business days for the funds to appear on your account, depending on your bank or payment provider.

Complaints procedure

It can always happen that something doesn't go exactly as planned.

We recommend that you first report complaints to us by sending an email to info@the-twosisters.nl We are incredibly happy to have you as a customer and always try to find a solution together:-) which always works!

However, if this does not lead to a solution, it is possible to register your dispute for mediation via Stichting WebwinkelKeur via https://www.webwinkelkeur.nl/kennisbank/consumenten/geschil .

As of 15 February 2016, consumers in the EU can also file complaints via the European Commission's ODR platform. This ODR platform can be found at http://ec.europa.eu/odr . If your complaint is not yet being handled elsewhere, you are free to file your complaint via the European Union platform.

2. Order & Shipping

How do I place an order?

Placing an order is very easy! Follow these steps:

  1. Choose your product : Browse our webshop and select the product you want to buy. If necessary, choose the right size, color or variant and click on "Add to cart".
  2. Go to your shopping cart : When you are done shopping, click on the shopping cart icon at the top right of the page. Here you can view and adjust your chosen products.
  3. Enter your details : Click "Continue to checkout" and fill in your shipping and billing details. If you already have an account, you can log in to speed up this step.
  4. Choose your payment method : Select the payment method that suits you best.
  5. Confirm your order : Check your order and click on "Place order". After payment you will receive a confirmation email with all the details of your order.

Can I track my order?

Yes, you can track your order! Once your order has been shipped, you will receive a confirmation email with a track & trace code. This allows you to see exactly where your package is and when it will be delivered. If you have any questions about the status of your order, please check the Rack & Trace!

What should I do if my order has not arrived?

If your order has not arrived within the expected delivery time, please first check the track & trace code that you received by email. This often provides insight into the status of your package.

If you have not received tracking information or something seems to be wrong, please contact our customer service team immediately. We will look into it for you right away and provide a quick solution so that you receive your order as soon as possible.

What payment methods do you accept?

We accept various payment methods to make your purchase as easy as possible. With us you can pay with iDEAL, credit card (Visa, Mastercard, American Express), PayPal and pay afterwards via Klarna. For international customers we also offer various local payment options. During the checkout you will see exactly which methods are available for your location.

Is my payment safe?

Can I pay afterwards?

Do you offer gift cards or discount codes?

Yes, we offer both gift cards and discount codes! Our gift cards are a perfect gift and can easily be purchased in the webshop. 4. Other questions

Do you have a physical store?

We have an online shop and no physical store. We understand that it is sometimes difficult because you cannot try on. That is why we have an extensive description of each article and you can try on in the comfort of your own home.

Do you also perform at festivals?

Mwhaaa, we love festivals and markets incredibly much. But unfortunately it is logistically (due to stock) not possible to be at markets and festivals.

Do you also sell to stores?

We only sell our beautiful items in our own webshop.

The reason for this is that we work with very small studios and those studios cannot handle large production.

We want to keep it that way and we are very happy with every article that comes in!

Washing instructions

Wash all cotton clothing in the washing machine at 30 degrees with a mild detergent and never by hand.

We recommend this because otherwise color differences may occur due to the huge amount of material used.

Never hang to dry in the sun.

Never in the dryer.

You can wash our silk clothing by hand in lukewarm water!

What about Child Labor?

“Handmade clothing from India, that is definitely made by children's hands!”

Yes, I hear that often enough, and if I may be honest I don't think it's that strange. In a large part of the clothing industry this is true. "If it comes from India then the quality will be bad and made in a full factory under bad conditions". Unfortunately this is often true and unfortunately the reality we live in and sometimes even contribute to (without knowing how bad the conditions are).

In my travels to India I fall in love with this beautiful country again and again. There are so many beautiful cultures, smells and colors. You can hardly imagine how much that differs from the 'western world'. One of the most beautiful things I encounter in India are all the different people.

I knew I had to build something together with the locals. We started by joining forces and now make beautiful clothes together. Every time I go back to my studio I am welcomed by a second family. I get new ideas and together we look at new fabrics and designs and create beautiful adventures and memories.

Handmade means at The Two Sisters really handmade, but in an honest and friendly way. You get a fair price and so does my studio. Together we ensure that you get good quality and beautiful clothing and every link in the chain must be rewarded for that.

Are there no children in this story? Yes, but not in labor. When you buy anything on my website, an amount is donated to BlueHousePushkar and together we make a difference!

An insane project in Pushkar. Many children in India grow up in poverty. The goal is to break the intergenerational cycle of poverty that they are in, and to develop this community with as little outside interference as possible.

So handmade does not mean child labor at The Two Sisters. Handmade means connection and love, between you, me, India and all the lovely people and children who live there.
