Returns and exchanges

What is your return policy?

We're a small webshop (not Zalando😅) and we ask that you order consciously. This is for sustainability reasons, but also because returns mean a lot of extra work for us.

Of course, you can return something if it doesn't meet your expectations. That can happen, of course.

You have the right to cancel your order up to 14 days after receipt without giving a reason. After canceling, you have an additional 14 days to return your product.

You will then be credited the full amount, including shipping costs. Only the return shipping from your address to us will be at your own expense.

If you exercise your right of withdrawal, the product must be returned to us with all accessories and – if reasonably possible – in its original condition and packaging. Please pack it neatly in the same way you received it. Do not "crumple" it in a bag or box, or we will NOT accept returns.

Did you pay with Klarna?

If you paid with Klarna, do NOT submit your return to Klarna. This will open a dispute and we will be charged an additional €15 fee. You don't need to notify Klarna; we'll handle this for you once we process your return. You'll then receive an updated invoice from Klarna.  

Please stamp the package as a parcel! Only jewelry may be sent by letterbox mail.

We may have made a mistake while packing, it happens! Feel free to email us! We appreciate it if it becomes a problem. We're working at full capacity, but mistakes can happen.

How do you send your return correctly?

Step 1

If possible, pack the items in their original packaging (bubble bag or box). Fold the clothing carefully, just as you received it. Don't simply scrunch it up in the box or bag.

Step 2

Complete the return form ( Download here) Complete the form in full and include it with your packaging. If you don't have a printer, you can also copy the form :-)

Returns without this form will not be processed!

Step 3

To exercise this right, first send an email with the items you wish to return to retouren@the-twosisters.nl. This is the notification. Once you've sent the email, you can send your return. We won't respond to this email; it's simply a notification for your return . If you'd like to know if your package has arrived, you can even check the Track & Trace code on your package.

Send your return via a PostNL service point , not DHL.

Return Policy

Returns are only accepted for undamaged and complete items. If reasonably possible, returns should be in their original packaging and include sufficient postage, along with a fully completed returns form. Returns that do not meet these requirements, or items that are damaged, soiled, or altered, may be refused by The Two Sisters .

Warranties and exclusions
The Two Sisters does not guarantee against discoloration or fabric shrinkage. It is normal for natural materials like cotton and rayon to shrink slightly after washing.

Damage caused by external influences (such as tears, stains, wear or incorrect use/washing) is not covered by the warranty.

With the handmade cotton gypsy skirts (approximately 80 meters of hand-stitched seams), stitching may occasionally come loose. This is not considered a manufacturing defect. We recommend having it repaired by a local seamstress.

The return conditions in a nutshell:

  • Return costs are at your own expense and any risks associated with shipping are also the responsibility of the customer.
  • Returns that do not include a completed return slip with your name and order number will be retained for one month after the date of receipt. After this period, the return will be kept in our own administrative records and can no longer be claimed.
  • When exchanging, you will also be responsible for the return costs, as will the shipping of your new item:-)
  • You send an email to register your return to returns@the-twosisters.nl

If your return does not meet the above conditions, we can send it back.

Refund

We will refund the invoice amount within 14 days of receiving the goods . Both the costs and the risk of shipping (for example, if a shipment is lost at PostNL) are your responsibility when returning the goods. To ensure your package arrives, please send it by letterbox-sized package or regular parcel.
