The Two Sisters
who we are
A place where dreams come to life.
A place where dreams come to life.
My dream began twenty years ago. During my travels to India, I was enchanted by the colours, fabrics and handmade materials I discovered there. The warmth, the craftsmanship, the stories hidden in every piece of fabric – it touched me deeply. My love for India and travelling grew, and I wanted nothing more than to let women in the Netherlands experience what I saw and felt there: the magic of discovering, connecting and celebrating being a woman.
But India didn’t just show me the beauty of life. I also met women and children in difficult circumstances. Their resilience, their strength and their hope inspired me. This desire to give something back became the driving force behind my adventure. And so The Two Sisters was born: from Sister to Sister , a brand by women, for women.
My name is Ingrid, and I believe that we are all sisters – connected by our hearts. With love, dedication and pleasure, I run The Two Sisters together with my team. Everything we do breathes authenticity, quality and attention. You feel that in the fabrics we choose, the details of our designs and the way we put together our collection. We hope that you experience that warmth in every fiber of our webshop and in every item you find with us.
Our webshop is not a standard webshop. It is a place where dreams and stories come together, where fashion is not a trend but a way to express yourself. Clothes are not just something you put on – they are a reflection of your personality, your energy, your uniqueness .
We take almost all the photos ourselves, with real women who wear our clothes as you would. No distant models from magazines, but friends, colleagues, women like you and me. Pure, spontaneous and full of fun. The most special images are captured by talented photographers such as Hanna Geels and Narendra in India, who know exactly how to capture that warm, authentic atmosphere.
Everything you see here, we created with love. Sometimes with trial and error, but always from our hearts. We are not professional photographers, web designers or copywriters - and that is our strength. Because what we are, is real. Dedicated. Passionate. Not perfect, sometimes the colors are slightly off, but it is good as it is. Good enough to wear with love. ❤️
Are you a creative sister with a talent for photography, fashion, styling or social media? We are always open to collaborations. Mail us – maybe we can create something beautiful together! ✨

Being a woman is a beautiful thing. It is strength and softness, intuition and creativity, vulnerability and resilience. At The Two Sisters, we believe that being a woman does not require perfection, but authenticity. You do not have to conform to an ideal image – you are already complete as you are. And we celebrate that.
With our clothing and jewelry, we don't just want you to shine, we also want you to feel. Feel what it's like to truly be yourself, without compromise. A dress that falls effortlessly around your body and gives you a sense of freedom. A piece of jewelry that is not just an accessory, but a symbol of your strength and personality. Fabrics that envelop you like a warm embrace and remind you that softness is just as powerful as steadfastness.
You are unique, with your own stories, experiences and dreams. The place you occupy in life is meant for you – and we want to inspire you to embrace that place with confidence and pride. Sometimes it is a small gesture, an outfit in which you feel at your most beautiful and yourself, that gives that little bit extra to dare to live life to the fullest.
At The Two Sisters, it's not just about clothes, it's about a feeling of coming home to yourself. From woman to woman, from sister to sister , we invite you to embrace yourself, just the way you are.
So radiant woman, be welcome. Feel at home. The Two Sisters is here for you. 💛✨
Every year I travel several times to India, a country that has not only stolen my heart, but also forms the soul of The Two Sisters . In the enchanting Pushkar I visit the workshops where our clothes are made with love and craftsmanship. But these workshops are more than just workshops – they are places where family feeling and tradition go hand in hand.
We work exclusively with small family workshops, no big factories or impersonal production lines. Between 10 and 15 people work here, each one a craftsman who has passed on their craft for generations. I know their names, their stories. When I’m in Pushkar, I don’t just walk into a workshop – I come home. We drink chai together, share meals and laugh about the little things in life. This is not a business transaction, this is a partnership based on respect, trust and genuine connection.
I see with my own eyes how our clothes are made. The workshops I work with offer safe and pleasant working conditions. There is no mass production or forced labor - here work is done with attention, at a pace that feels good for the people who work there.
✔ Good working conditions: Everyone works under fair and humane conditions, with a normal daily routine and breaks to eat, rest and talk to each other. No long, exhausting days without end.
✔ Fair wages: The people who work here are paid a fair wage that allows them to support their families. No exploitation, no underpayment – just craftsmanship that is valued as it should be.
✔ Respect for tradition and craftsmanship: The fabrics and techniques used have often been in the family for generations. They don’t just make clothes here; they weave, embroider and stitch a piece of heritage into every design.
But my connection with India goes further. Besides making beautiful clothes, my deeper mission is to support these sweet, hardworking people. And you and I play a role in this together . With every purchase you contribute to something bigger: part of the proceeds goes directly to Blue House Pushkar , a beautiful project that is committed to underprivileged children.
These children grow up in absolute poverty. Their future often seems set in stone, trapped in an intergenerational cycle of poverty. But we believe in change. In hope. In opportunities. Blue House Pushkar works to break this cycle, in a way that comes from within – without Western interference displacing the uniqueness of this community.
Together we make a difference. With every purchase you contribute to education, care and a better future for these children. No grand gestures, but step by step, with love and dedication. Because real change starts small, from the heart. 💛✨
